Best Bakeries in Amsterdam Oost

Oost's bakery scene is smaller and more workshop-minded than the rest of the city. L'Abeille is as much a teaching space as a shop — Laura Vervoort runs her own lamination classes alongside the counter — and Bakkerij Mas built a genuine following around Scandinavian-style kanelbullar rather than the expected croissant. It's a residential, less touristed corner of the guide, so most of these bakeries run on real neighbourhood trade. Expect fewer queues, more regulars greeted by name, and a couple of genuinely unusual specialties you won't find repeated elsewhere in the city.
