About Atlas Amsterdam
Atlas Amsterdam is a map-driven guide to four worlds of Amsterdam craft — specialty coffee, bakeries, natural wine, and restaurants — built as a reference work, not a directory. Every place on the map earned its spot: fewer, better-presented places, not an exhaustive listings dump with a map bolted on.
Who puts this together
Atlas Amsterdam is put together by an independent editorial team based in Amsterdam. There's no bylined single author — the guide is maintained as an ongoing editorial project, researched and re-checked in passes rather than written once and left alone.
Independence
No place pays to be featured, and no place is added just to fill a gap on the map. Selection, wording, and ranking are never for sale. The full detail on how that works in practice lives on the editorial policy page.
How it's researched
Every description, highlight, and recommendation traces back to a real source: recent reviews, specialty platforms for that world, a place's own site and menu, or its social channels — never invented copy. See methodology for exactly how and when that research gets re-checked.
Spotted something wrong?
Places change — a menu shifts, a café closes, a roastery moves. If something on this site is out of date, email info@atlasamsterdam.nl and it gets checked.
