Best Specialty Coffee in Amsterdam West

West is Amsterdam's coffee epicentre by sheer density — Oud-West and De Baarsjes pack more roasteries per square kilometre than anywhere else in the city, many within a ten-minute walk of each other around Kinkerstraat and the Foodhallen. This is where the city's third-wave scene properly took hold: White Label Coffee and Lot Sixty One both roast on-site here, and newer names keep opening in their wake. It's a genuinely mixed district, not one long strip of concept stores — the polished cafés sit next to Turkish grocers and Moroccan bakeries that have been there for decades. Expect laptops out by mid-morning, and a queue for the good stuff on weekends.
