Best Specialty Coffee in Amsterdam Noord
Noord is the one district you reach by ferry, not tram, and that shapes its coffee scene: fewer, more spread-out cafés, each enough of a destination that people cross the IJ specifically for it. What used to be NDSM's industrial edge is now home to genuinely serious specialty spots — White Label Coffee's Zonneplein bar is repeatedly called the best coffee in Noord by regulars, and newer arrivals are filling in the Hamerkwartier and IJplein areas rather than clustering in one strip. Expect a younger, more creative crowd, terraces that actually get used given the extra breathing room, and a district still very much being written rather than finished.
